Consultation on proposals for long-term capital investment in science and research

Publié le 5 mai 2014, par Thérèse Hameau

Our ambition is to make the UK the best place in the world to do science and research. This is why the government is making a long-term commitment to invest in science and research infrastructure : increasing capital investment in real terms to £1.1 billion in 2015-16 and growing it in line with inflation each year to 2020-21. We want your views on what this money should be invested in, from refurbing a university laboratory, to investing in a new major international project.

Why We Are Consulting

This consultation seeks views on how the UK makes the most of this opportunity. The government will publish a Science Capital Roadmap, setting out our long-term strategic vision for a world-leading science and research infrastructure in the autumn. We are seeking evidence in order to inform the development of this roadmap.
